too political - too many people trying to make a name for themselves and not making the best choices for the company too siloed - too many worker bees that do not see the power of individual thought takes too long to make positive changes

Reasonably competitive pay it you have competing companies in your area.

Cons

Leadership positions given to pets, and never to local talent. Very few true leaders just Managers who are generally inept and abuse their power.

Good balance of work and life in general Opportunities to learn different skills A lot of resources at your disposal, if you know how to access them. Everyone has heard of your company, which saves some explaining to relatives People are generally tolerant of timelines slipping

Cons

Slowing moving, stuck in a commodity chemical mindset. Rigidly compliant to set processes. Inpersonal, you have a problem? email a nameless email address and hope for a reply. Dependence on contractors makes routine functions unpredictable, it can take months to get bills paid. Constant layoffs and downsizing has made the morale of the work force dismal. Innovation is a buzz word rather than a core value. The company is more about managers playing politics, kick down kiss up will get you far.
