      A place to learn, not be recognized.

      Pros

      Commitment to EH&S is real and serious. Communication of vision and goal alignment is reasonable. Very strong technical bench and colleagues though Dow is doing it's best to throw this away.

      Cons

      Very Poor accountability for management. Politics are beyond bad and on into ridiculous. Work processes focus only on the process and not the work ensuring that the lowest common denominator is applied in an oppressive ineffective bureaucratic mess. Inward focus is so bad it is laughable.

      Pros

      Pay was not bad. Also the housing was fully furnished and subsidized. Only paid a portion of rent and no cost of utilities. Job did not require much.

      Cons

      Job did not require much. I reemphasize this in the cons because I was bored throughout my work term. Job did not actually require an engineering background.

      Likes to think it's respecting "The Human Element" but falls short from that goal.

      Pros

      Up-to-date technology and innovative ideas. Competivie salary and benefits. Merit based bonus encourages employees to take ownership of their responsibilities. Great location.

      Cons

      Management is completely inaccessible due to their work overload. Due to the acquisition of Rohm and Haas there is no organizational structure. New employees (and even most of the senior staff) don't know who to go to when questions arise regarding supply chain, technical data, etc. Dow does not live up to their slogan "The Human Element". The bottom end of the pyramid is being ignored.
