Pros

Good pay Friendly people Have lots of laughs Get free hot meals , with vegetarian options, teas and coffees, and a secretion of cereals etc Great experience to have on your CV Amazing training provided such as manual handling, WSET levels which cost hundreds if you do them outside the hotel. Great leadership training with opportunities to progress within the company. Staff nights out within departments - especially the gallery so great to socialise in. You learn so much about 5 star etiquette.

Cons

Long , late shifts I was working every weekend until half two in the morning so would have to get night link bus at 3 am alone in the dark it was scary lol. Hard to get time off especially weekends No days off allowed in December Some of the management are stuck up and don’t even say hello until they want something The staff room is up the top of the hotel so you have to go up 4 flights of stairs to get to it and do be sweating Only get a half an hour break even if you’re working a 12 hour shift and you have to clock in and out of your break so you can’t even chill out
