      Be prepared for frustration and disappointment, and more layoffs

      Decent base salary Good benefits Nice co-workers (for the most part)

      Cons

      Not a "sales organization" So many Managers who have no concept of how difficult it is to acquire new clients, who dictate how a things should be done. Countless unnecessary meetings Hire someone to clean up the Hubspot

      Important mission and smart people

      Pros

      DrFirst is a place to get exposure to a very broad cross section of healthcare IT. I joined for the mission and stayed because I enjoy and respect the people who make up the company. The two things I hear all the time are that DrFirst "people are incredibly smart" and "everyone will help you however they can." Personally I enjoy the innovation, the big vision, and that the company really cares about customers.

      Cons

      We sometimes hold on to people too long when they're having a negative impact on the company. We're getting much better about that as we've focused on continual improvement of internal shortcomings. This is what's most exciting to me right now, that our exec team is eliminating issues, problems, and friction very systematically.
