Thank you for sharing your experience as a Sales Associate. As a company, we provide a base salary for our employees plus commission based on store performance. We find this helps promote a collaborative environment and encourages team members to work together. The DriveTime family also provides paid bonding leave to employees who have been with the company for at least one year as of the qualifying event. Thank you for sharing your experience, while we may have parted ways, we wish you all the best in your future endeavors!

Pros

Outside of the health benefits, there isn't much this company actually gives you. A $500 credit if you choose to buy one of the vehicles...and being able to test drive different vehicles.

Cons

The insane metrics you are held to. You are expected to make and take dozens of calls/texts/emails a day which are graded by people who don't work for the company. You are also tracked on the three ancillary products you are expected to sell in addition to the vehicle which is 100% optional and management forces you to slide right past them and make the customer sign. You also have to get a Google review on every sale along with setting them up on auto-pay, allow which count against you if you don't get it and you have no incentive other than a "good job" or a knuckle bump from management. Also, the company allows customers to make appointments at close and you have to stay without overtime pay because you are salaried and you won't get overtime pay either.

Pros

The company culture is good. Lots of events and they let you take time off whenever.

Cons

The pay is the biggest downside. Consistently lower than the norm.
