Pros

Career development - they allow you to rotate relatively easily around the company to allow you to get a pretty good experience.

Cons

One con is the difficulty of which it is to fire those who severely under-perform. Also, Human Resources seems to be involved too much and too time consuming with all of their various processes especially new employee on-boarding.

Pros

There is definitely longevity with Duke. Depending on the department, there is an element of family.

Cons

There is a sense or an attitude that if you come in certain departments that you should just now how to do a job and that if you ask questions about the job, not many people are willing to help you. They'd rather look down on you.
