      Pros

      There are a lot of really great things about working at Duke. Just look at some of the other reviews. (Modified work schedule,great co-workers, etc.). If you want 'just a job'. This would be a great fit for you.

      Cons

      Tons of changes, in processes, organization, managers. - As the title says: 'all roads lead to charlotte'. If you are not located in Charlotte and are not inclined to move your chances for advancement is extremely limited. Also contributions of employees who are in the regional offices also greatly marginalized.

      Pros

      Great life/work balance, friendly people, great 401k, lots of events, older retiring workforce, trying to stay cutting edge.

      Cons

      Slow to move up in certain departments, a lot of workers have built up weeks of vacation so it can occasionally be challenging scheduling meetings or getting responses. Parental benefits are non-existent, pay can be lower than competitors, annual salary increases barely keep up with inflation. Difficult to get career development funding, relevant degrees and relevant military time not compensated fairly as work experience.
