One of their biggest pros creates one of their biggest cons. Since they always try and keep employees, you'll find people that don't belong in their roles and simply aren't capable. This is common for many of the older workers who aren't quite to retirement and just looking for a few more years work. It should eventually phase out with the older portion of the workforce.

Previous reviews are correct. There is strong resistance to change. Also, if you are a competent minority, you will need to work twice as hard to move up. That's just the way it is and the way it's always been. Preferential treatment is given to the unqualified and inexperienced. Positions are created out of thin air and people are promoted based on nepotism and who they know. It's rampant and ugly. If you know the right people, you will do well. But hard work alone will not help you advance.
