Pros

The benefits and retirement plan for monthly employees are excellent.

Cons

My current Sr. manager is great. My former one was terrible. No matter how much work you did, it was never good enough and it was never enough. His favorites were given excellent reviews and allowed to do very little work.

Pros

Duke has a group of extremely talented researchers. The DUHS fosters an environment which encourages researchers to work together in multidisciplinary projects.

Cons

Some of the lowest medical pay in the area - which is common for top tier medical schools (the better the school - lower the pay). They are constantly making and breaking promises, even those in writing in an offer letter!

Pros

Great benefits. A lot of opportunities to move around if you can survive.

Cons

Unfair business practices. They work to promote a feeling of paranoia & the only way to advance is not on the merits of what you do but who you can attack.
