It's fulfilling work and you are literally a key part of people's lives. You are the driving force that keeps some people alive. You also get diverse and in-depth experience working in the medical field which you can use in your future.

Cons

You are most likely going to be understaffed, due to high dropout rates. Raises are minimal and rare. You are doing work with heavy repercussions but you are not compensated well. Your concerns are heard but hardly remedied and it is common to have 60-70 hour weeks. On your days off in some positions, expect to work from home.

Some of the staff were friendly. The training were clear and concise. Human resources was always quick to contact and explain any sort of confusion or misunderstanding

Cons

Horrible management. Horrible atmosphere in the group homes. Not enough employees per persons served. too stressful for the amount of pay.
