Pros

Get to help out individuals Amazing seeing clients succeed past the companies expectations. Some of the greatest clients I ever meet.

Cons

It could have been my leadership team in Portland, OR. This is a scary place to work at, Reasons include: 1. The leadership do not take ownership of their actions Ex. When time system glitches and you notify them; if they do not fix it... you could have police show up at your door for fraud. 2. If your hurt on the job saving the client, it is not a job injury thus not covered. 3. My clients and their parent complained about leadership being extremely rude. I was harassed, and threatened constantly by my leader who blamed me for her inaction within her job duties. I am still traumatized by some of my experiences working here.

Pros

Amazing clients. Everyone who works there cares about the mission of serving people with disabilities. The benefits for my low-level position were decent. When I once transferred into a position that turned out to not be a good fit for me, management worked with me to find a different position that fit better.

Cons

My hours were often cut with no warning, and in general the working conditions for front line direct support staff were not very good. When I asked for more hours or suggested ways that the working conditions of front line staff could be improved, management usually responded by being unresponsive or hostile. Pay raises were sporadic and did not keep up with inflation. There was a near-constant turnover of managers in every department I ever worked for. In the several years I worked there, I think I had one manager ever who took any interest in my professional development. Management sees paperwork and information technology as a nuisance rather than an opportunity to invest in their workforce.
