We are working diligently as I type to add HR teams into every state that we offer services. As part of this decision we are working with local HR teams to obtain more ownership of elements that should fall under the HR umbrella that traditionally operations has ownership of in the past. Our goal in building out these robust HR teams is to show the value of HR on a local level so the heart of our business (DSP's and Field staff) can be heard, and resolve the items you mentioned above. Being heavily involved in recruiting nationally I know better than anyone right now the staffing crisis that ALL companies are feeling! It's great that unemployment is down but its certainly making it much harder to find qualified, hard-working candidates! Please know on a local and national level we are trying our hardest to recruit new staff for our homes as we don't want your work/life balance to suffer! The employees and consumers are a real pleasure to work with. Some programs are pretty laid back.

Cons

Upper management ignores the concerns of both clients and employees. Upper management has and will quickly throw employees under the bus to avoid accepting any kind of responsibilty for themselves and refuses to accept that consumers can be at fault at times. Unreasonable expectations of employees - will pressure people to do things they do not want to do. Dungarvin is a for-profit organization (a fact that is never made clear) that appears to care, but in reality will do whatever it takes to ensure they save a dollar - going so far to expect employees to use their own resources. Many policies are rigged against lower-tier employees. The pay is pathetic compared to similar organizations and benefits could definitely be better.
