Pros

You get free coffee at work. Great for new people who have a business background with other corporate companies and culture (or lack thereof).

Cons

For those who have been with the company since before the public offering, it has been a slow, down-hill struggle to try and retain that special sauce that was our Culture. They continue using "our culture" as an amazing hiring tool and PR headline but in reality, that culture is dead. At the end of the day, Dutch is now controlled by the shareholders and decisions are not being made in the interest of their employees or the "culture." Outside of C-Suite Members, the stock-share programs are deceiving and not guaranteed. You are no longer a person but just a number on a spreadsheet that can be removed or replaced based on budget adjustments. Benefits package is pretty bad. They do match 401k which is nice. Stock Share is great if they don't decide to get rid of you before you are vested. (SEVERAL PEOPLE MET THIS FATE) Healthcare is absolutely atrocious if you have any sort of family. Plan on paying $1k+ out of pocket monthly if you are trying to cover your spouse and children.

Pros

Friendly peers, with DBAZ offering 2 free drinks per day. Easy to get days off, and thorough training. Mostly kind customers, easy to balance as a student.

Cons

Management has favorites, rules apply to some and not others, and are extremely uptight with rules. Forced customer interactions, with a “leave your personal life at the door” mentality. You are scolded for expressing frustration, and can get in trouble from word-of-mouth with zero proof. VERY LITTLE opportunity for growth with an unlivable wage, unless you are willing to work full time. Shift supervisor makes only a dollar more than Broista, with an incredible increase in workload inside and outside the shop. Expected to withstand extreme heat with ice packs that do not help, and take orders in the rain. Tips are not usually much, since everything is split between 5-7 people.

Pros

Free coffee and merch, some departments still have good leaders, WFH on Fridays

Cons

Terrible leadership from C-Suite down, office too small for employees forced to be there, expensive benefits, no flexibility, money-first company
