E2open had a good product in 2001 but has lost its way since

Pros

E2open has some of the brightest minds in the industry; there are some truly inspirational employees in the organization who know supply chain to the deepest level. It was a joy to be able to learn from these people on a day to day basis. They have a good HR function, they understand how to motivate, engage and instil a team spirit.

Cons

There is a significant discord between what E2open sell and what management thinks they sell. Ultimately they have a kit bag of bits that they are trying to propose as a solution but the messaging is over complicated and market struggles to understand what value it brings. Furthermore as the management team really don’t know their market, they have no perception of companies offering against competitors and constantly shift positions and focus as and when a topic becomes fashionable. Because of this lack of direction, things never go as planned and of course everybody else gets blamed.

Pros

Great place to work among some very smart techical co workers. First level management gives the technical team alot of room to work with little interference.

Cons

Company does not seem to know where it wants to go. Executive management has changed directions numerous times in the past year. They tend to react to things, being very tactical in their decisions.
