Pros

The pros to working at EF are that you are able to be around an International group of people. Most of the staff are pleasant and they are flexible with time off.

Cons

There is a huge gap between upper management and teachers. The curriculum needs updating and revising as there are a lot of mistakes in the books. The pay rate and the way employees are treated is almost offensive. There is also a lack of cultural sensitivity within the organisation.

Pros

Travel benefits, insurance benefits, 401k, flexible hours, diligent with training and moving employees up, colleagues are young and down-to-earth, fun company parties.

Cons

Sometimes felt like I was being treated as a fraternity member (Ex: sales goals were awarded with beer and liquor sometimes pizza and mexican food on top of bonus pay). A lot of social pressue to hang out with team mates after work.

Poor management and constant turnaround

Pros

There is a vibrant social aspect to the company - plenty of opportunity to drink and mingle with colleagues.

Cons

- The management team has very little professional training - many of the mid to senior managers are former sales people who were promoted through the years. There are no upper managers with an MBA. - It is extremely political. - You are encouraged to become an "EF person" - attend all social events, make close friends with your colleagues (even romantic relationships), spend all of your time outside of work with EF people, and it is not uncommon for EF people to live together - Low pay in all departments - Constant turnaround in sales and customer service
