Pros

Best at what they do. Promote from within. Growing, and always adding to the team (which says a lot in the current economy). Fair compensation.

Cons

As with any growing company, tehre can be some growing pains. However, EMS does a great job at addressing and learning.

EMS is a fast-growing company in a unique industry (medical simulation training). The company offers a fast career track and a "family-friendly" atmosphere. The company's management is effective and eager to continue the company's growth pattern.

Cons

The company's rapid growth creates challenges regarding processes, but they recently hired a controller to improve internal workflows.

Pros

If you're Indian, you're almost certain to be hired and you get all kinds of preferential treatment. If you're not Indian, but are absolutely desperate for a paycheck and this is your only option, it's better than nothing in the short term. The field they market to--medical education--is interesting.

Cons

Working here is like being caught in a Kafka story. Up is down, down is up, right is wrong, wrong is right. There's absolutely no direction from management. The basic strategy is to delay and pass the buck whenever there is a problem, which is pretty much every implementation. They use the people who have contact with clients like Kleenex. The software interface looks like a kid's school project, and works about like that. There's absolutely no will to make it better. Except for a few managers, and employees who are dependent on their jobs to allow them to stay in the U.S., everyone here is miserable. This may be one of the few companies that will tank when the economy improves, because everyone here will leave as soon as they can find another job.
