Pros

Flexible time schedules, low-stress office environment, great co-workers, some great managers. Great place to get some valuable work experience and then move on to better opportunities.

Cons

Terrible "benefits" with high monthly premiums. Could not afford the company health insurance with the paltry wages. Company as a whole seems more focused on expanding than making sure employees are taken care of. Annual "raises" are a joke.

Do not ever work here!

Pros

I wish I could say there is at least one pro but there is not. The postings on here saying this is a great place to work are placed by upper management. Please just look for another job there are great places out there to work and this is not one of them. I have been working for well over 20 years and this is the only place that was the most unprofessional joke of a job. I have worked here for well over 7 years and since day one I wanted out but I don't job hop and truly wanted to make it work. I am currently seeking other employment, I am not a "former" employee like the other post might suggest.

Cons

So many to write them all would take hours. Here are some facts. Family owned, upper management are all family, except for the one. Just because you are the sister or the sister's husband of the owner, or the owner's child or spouse of the owner's does not instantly qualify you to be "management". Please take some management courses. Stop walking around acting as if we work in a sweat shop. The other post suggested you are now hiring better quality of employee's (still laughing at that one), frankly that is not true. Stop replacing good hard workers with fresh faced just graduated out of college working $11.00/hour kids with no qualifications or proper training. What happened to loyalty and providing the very best service to your clients. Its not about the bottom line which is how much can the "family" make, its about providing 100% quality work for all your clients in EVERY DEPARTMENT.

Pros

You will get a paycheck and learn about nepotism at its very greatest. It's a garbage company, not many pros come to mind.

Cons

You have to be in the family to succeed. Upper management consists of non college graduates that have no idea how to run a company. They married into the family and were handed management titles for doing so. The company hands out a 25 dollar gift card as a bonus. 25 dollars.... Raises are very rare. My department was extremely lucky to get 1%. The company looks at quantity over quality. 8 years with the company and I just wish I never started working here. The worst part of working here is actually trying to find a new job. Other companies are skeptical of hiring EMSL employees because of the company's past issues with data integrity. It's just all around poor judgment to consider EMSL as an employer. 2 thumbs down.
