Pros

Really not a lot of pros here unless you are a "golden child" with the company , some flexibility with scheduling is all about i can say is good.

Cons

Let's see, managers treat employees like crap unless you are a "favorite" of that manager, so there is discrimination going on even though it is denied. A lot of the equipment is in bad condition and constantly is breaking and takes forever to get repaired. HQ does not care much about the branch labs, some of the branch labs are in poor condition (ie, poor heat and A/C, leaky windows, bugs, really bad flooring) while they have a brand new building. There's no real room for promotions or if you get a small promotion it just means more work for no extra pay. They care more for quantity than quality. They won't hire extra staff, even part-time, to help with workload, rather just burnout the employees by working 10+ for months on end. The list just goes on and on.

Pros

Like others said. Hours. That's it. You could possibly have the good fortune of solid co-workers (co-slaves)

Cons

Absolutely zero emphasis on quality. There is one thing that this company cares about. It's not it's employees, or the clients. Turn around times. They will pay you a salary that is impossible to live on, have outrageous project expectations that result in 60 hour weeks, and hire employees who aren't qualified (INCLUDING ME!). They just take advantage of those who are desperate for a paycheck in today's tough economy.

Pros

Flexible schedule. You can come and go as you please for the most part, as long you are there roughly around your schedule time. Everyone is really cool and friendly.

Cons

VERY dirty and dangerous to workers. Majority of the workers including the actual supervisors treat asbestos as a joke and will literally take out asbestos sample in mid air without any caution. Miserable work environment, no one is happy to be there, there just there because they got stuck and were desperate for work experience. EMSL pay does differ from person to person, even though you do the same job. You can advance to other positions, it will most likely happen if you get along with the managers. In the end, is the need for experience worth bad work conditions, miserable atmosphere, low pay, expensive benefits, and above all, your health?
