Diverse expertise & great culture

Pros

They have and are continuing to pull together a solid team of diverse experience and expertise. Sustainability Solutions in North America is still new and forming, so some formal norms and culture are under development - yet, the empathy and support everyone is bringing to the table has set a great foundational culture. We also benefit from many processes, resources, and expertise in place within the broader Engie organization.

Cons

Our division is new, so some standards and processes are moving targets (but that's not so bad).

Pros

While management direction is often conflicted with work direction, I never felt like I was being micromanaged. This company also has a solid benefits package and has a good work life balance.

Cons

I joined Engie as a recent college grad with the full intent to move laterally. However, I found that lateral movements are few and far between with most "promotions" being horizonal moves and slight pay bumps.

Pros

The benefits are not too bad, but other than that there are no other pros

Cons

This place does not care about where you went to school or if you have a degree or not. The pay is absolutely abysmal. HR dept is a total mess. Most team leads in production only care about numbers and are willing to sacrifice quality and if you are not hitting those numbers, expect to be talked to. There is a total lack of appreciation for what we do and like I said, poor compensation. I'd say stay far and away from this place. Especially if you want to try and move up in the company.. they barely do internal hires for higher up positions. This company is a joke. If you dont have a degree and need a place to start, this may be the one. If you have a degree, please try and find somewhere else if at all possible. I've had a terrible experience in my one year with the company.
