      flexibility variety of positions large number of school district Interesting co-workers opens up full time teaching opportunities

      mismanaged staffing specialists are ignorant in the field of education issues with payroll issues with security badges and other staff's needs problems with communication between staff and management

      You can choose what days and what classes you'll agree to substitute in.

      Cons

      The pay has not increased in years. They are terrible to get in touch with if you have a problem. The only way you can guarantee to get work is if you pay them $5.99 per month to get their "jobulator". They have been part of the cause of paraprofessionals now not being hired by school districts and thus losing out on decent pay and benefits. Now most schools only use Source to hire their paras now and you only get the sub per diem rate --- not the higher pay you used to get. Terrible company!!! They also try to push you to work at districts that pay less money.

      Cons

      Many times assignments can change once you get to the school, so be prepared to not necessarily work in the classroom you chose for the day.
