Pros

It’s a job! They have benefits.

Cons

Horrible agency! Very difficult to reach anyone. No one responds to your emails, text messages or phone calls unless you put HR on the email. Out of pocket expenses for bg check, fingerprinting and TB test. They will reimburse but only after 120 days. You’re treated like a cattle call and number not as an individual. The pay isn’t worth it depending on location. Also, you don’t get your paycheck deposited until way in the evening. They will blame the bank but according to the bank, they go by when the payroll is submitted to them from the company. None of the software is user friendly. The timesheet for requesting days off is antiquated and they never respond to your request. The app is a joke and has gone down at least three times when I worked there. I worked there for 2 months. Trainings and orientations are a joke.

Pros

Very easy to get work every day, as long as you are willing to take the work and go to multiple schools. You have to have all of you clearances updated but it is not hard to get signed up with. They pay weekly too which is very nice.

Cons

The per-day pay for a substitute is not the most but it is still steady money.

Pros

I like Source4Teachers because the district manager I deal with is helpful and accommodating. They make dealing with my sometimes complicated schedule easier when I work with the schools. I also enjoy the option of picking the school I want to work with. The job portal only shows jobs from the school district I listed. Management is also helpful when they know what school district I enjoy working with, they will let me know when there are jobs available in that district.

Cons

The only cons I have which is no fault of S4T is the jobs from the "good schools" get snatched up fast. So checking the site regularly helps. AND...NJ needs to pay more.
