I love working for ESS! As a future teacher, it is a great opportunity to receive teaching experience, work on classroom management skills, and network.

Cons

Pay set by school district - much less than what substitutes used to be paid.

Colleagues are helpful and in the same boat.

Cons

Salary is deficient for the amount of work involved. Barely $19,000 for 10 months and medical benefits are not good at all. Very expensive. Weekly pay is not enough to pay the premiums. Children are physically aggressive ( bite, kick, and scratch).
