Pros

I have the opportunity to Train, Teach Group Exercise while still managing the gym. It's great when you are able to do what you love while still being in a managerial role.

Cons

None at this current time.

Pros

Decent pay, PTO benefits decent, they do tend to hire some of the best fitness minds... but not so much at the higher level. When the effort is put forth, they do create some of the best facilities I've seen in awhile, and the new merger with EXOS will only further that premise.

Cons

Some very long hours and work from home if you don't want to drown. To get the smallest things done, there were about 3,000 channels to go through first. Sales tactics are laughable, stuffy, overly PC, and overall ineffective. Underpromise and overdeliver, not the other way around! USE YOUR EXPERTS AS EXPERTS, not pawns. It's definitely a CORPORATE GYM.... numbers numbers numbers. HR, marketing, and other corporate offices are all disconnected.... and therefore HIGHLY dysfunctional.

Pros

-Excellent corporate clients -Consistent paycheck -Ability to personal train

Cons

-Salaried exempt in their minds means no work from home even if payroll is due at 9am on a Saturday. -Clocking in is Mandatory even as an exempt salaried employee -Requests for Performance review after 3 years continually denied -Apathy toward developing their employees -Lack of degreed individuals at the management level with little experience in true worksite health promotion. -Account managers micro managed -If management has a personal issue they will look for reasons to fire you. -Terrible health benefits. -Lack of work life balance -Client companies are involved in early decision making of hiring staff, but are completely blind sighted when MediFit decides to terminate their employees. The lack of communication is unprofessional.
