Pros

Benefits. PTO. The company itself is great, if you are working with athletes and younger populations. Great full time opportunity with benefits IF you are brand new to the fitness industry or have just graduated with an exercise degree.

Cons

Long hours with nothing to do. Way too much downtime. Teaching classes can be good time fillers, but with a lot of staff and not a lot of classes, that leaves not many to teach. Not many clients walking in for personal training. Would be a better part time position. Pay isn't great, but then again you sit here doing nothing for 8 hours. Definitely not a good job if you have been in the industry for a while. No room for growth. Not many education opportunities.

Pros

Great place to get your foot in the door if you want to work in the field of sports performance. The internship program is great for individuals who want to learn, but unfortunately the same cannot be said about anyone beyond that. Odds are, you will have a lot in common with your co-workers and can have fun at work. Great place to work if you love to workout, it's one of the best gyms in the world. The on-site kitchen in Arizona is a fantastic perk, but a little pricey if you want to enjoy it regularly.

Cons

The organization is very top heavy with the VP level individuals receiving the rewards off the hard work of everyone else. The pay is below market value in just about every area and they do not adjust for cost of living at other locations, people outside of Arizona seem to get the short end of the stick. The culture seems to have shifted from trying to upgrade as many lives as possible to trying to just get as big and make as much money as possible. This is not a great place for upward mobility, they almost seem to try and keep people in lower level positions to try and keep salaries lower. This was a consensus among most entry and mid-level employees. They try to give the impression that they emulate a culture like Google, but they just don't seem to truly care enough about their people for this to hold true. Creating an open floor plan office design does not make a company similar to Google and was actually a complaint of many people in Arizona when they were running out of space and had to convert a warehouse into desk space as it was not a comfortable environment being face to face with another coworker all day.

Pros

Depending on the site you can really get some valuable work in but that is not across the board. Most of the time all Health Fitness Specialist are degree holding towel folders.

Cons

Low Pay Very little opportunities to move up. No higher education help. Pay is not consistent across company I've been denied leases to most apartment complex's due to my salary
