First and foremost, thank you for your years of service. We appreciate your time and dedication to EXOS and value each of our team members greatly. We apologize you feel pay + benefits do not meet your needs. As a company, we do our best to offer a total rewards package is competitive in the marketplace. We continually look for ways to improve these benefits and make changes when we are able to enhance or improve a program. For example, last year we rolled out the EXOS HONORS reward and recognition program. That program is specifically designed to provide cash bonuses to team members who do extraordinary work. We encourage you to ask your manager about this program if your team is not utilizing it to its fullest.

Pros

Experience working with professional athletes, General population, and military.

Cons

Overworked. Interns are expected to do the dirty work. Coaches will use interns for anything they do not want to do. Interns are not appreciated and reticuled for not knowing what the coaches know. Interns are belittled and have very minimal room to grow. Coaches put the intern’s experience as the bottom priority. Coaches will cut out the intern’s learning/question sessions for personal time. Interns are expected to work far more than 40 hours a week. If you cannot work every hour, they will make you feel aweful and guilty. They try to manage your life and act as if they are the gold standard. Many companies do exactly what EXOS does, however, they treat their interns with respect.

We are very sorry to hear that your internship experience was less than optimal. We strive to provide a world class educational opportunity to everyone selected into our program. Our internship consists of approximately 40 hours per week which includes time spent on educational curriculum designed by EXOS as well as time spent learning the operations required to run a performance center. We maintain a high standard of ethics at EXOS and do not endorse the treatment you are describing. Please reach out to our internship coordinator by emailing us at internships@teamexos.com and we look into this further.
