Pros

For the most part the work environment, there are a couple people that are more difficult to deal with, but that's what helps you grow. The management in this particular office are great, but when you get to corporate it's a little tricky.

Cons

Wages are on the low side, currently been working there for almost 2 years and have not had my salary looked at. Bldg. maintenance is almost nonexistent, I am sure it's not the other employees faults but rather corporate itself not approving things. Benefits are okay, but not like others in the industry. Paid time off is 3 weeks, which would normally be amazing for anyone starting off, but they have recently changed the policies and have merged sick days (5 for the year) and vacation (3weeks). Also, they force you to use PTO for the week of Christmas, as the offices are all closed.

Pros

Its a small office so most people are easy going.

Cons

Not much room for advancement and raises are hard to get. Most management has been here too long to think of innovative ways to fix problems within the company.

Pros

The managers I’ve worked with have a hands-off approach. Self-reliant people are rewarded and stay on board, others don’t. By and large, people are friendly and helpful. There’s a wide variety of assignments. The company has engineers working in many different disciplines – electrical, architectural, civil, etc.

Cons

Training is not provided, and new employee guidance is very limited. There are support teams but they are stretched very thin. Staff are on their own and expected to answer each others’ questions. The work/life balance needs improvement. 50 to 60 hour work weeks are common. Overtime is not allowed. Some tasks must be done in the evening to avoid disrupting production work. Management’s answer is to have staff come in late or leave early to compensate, but that’s not realistic; the work keeps piling up.
