      ups and downs of private equity firms

      Pros

      The company is gradually ramping up benefits and more open to remote work than it was previously which is a benefit to employee work life balance. It feels like a more modern and focused technology company in that way.

      Cons

      The company continues to struggle to succeed at very basic things like documentation of processes and scalable tools to enable employees to focus on finding new ways to innovate for the business. Some of the executives are so focused on strategy implementation that they keep propping up metrics that don't do what they want since they aren't educated enough to come up with the proper measurements; plus they don't trust the general employee base to help them with that work so the cycles just keep continuing. If they could narrow scope a bit and drive in a few key areas they would find more success.
