Bad management; Lost vision

Pros

- They pay 30% more than market.

Cons

- The product features are all over the place, they're just trying to retrofit user fit after they think of a product line. - Their brand values and company values are all no talk no walk. - It was a good company that lost its vision because the CEO chose to trust only a small handful of people who are only interested in playing politics. - All good talent either left on their own because they were not heard and eventually saw smoke from afar or were let go because they brought good ideas to the table. Management doesn't want your expertise; they want yes men. A quote from the CEO when he changed the company values that were horribly articulated- "Agree to these value or leave. Nobody will have a say in this".

Pros

Flexibility in work location and timings Some of the middle management is smart, mission-driven and very helpful

Cons

Reorganization of teams every 3-4 months. Lots of politics and secrecy - unclear communication and expectations Will boast a lot about being mission-driven and "community" focused but at the end of the day all decisions are optimized for profit and not for the user All product decisions are made arbitrarily by the CEO and not the product teams (many senior product managers, head of design, head of product have left company in the past year). Recently let go 20% of the team. The managers didn't even speak to the employees being let go.

Pros

- Good people to work with - Good people managers

Cons

Company is hiring too much. I would request people to not join Earnin as the new products are on the border line and may not work. There may be massive layoffs as there has been excessive hiring in the last quarter. There are people with no tasks. The company made the same mistake last time and is repeating because the leadership changed. The new CTO is responsible for this and is hiring internationally so I do not recommend joining earnin even if you the highest offer.
