Racist Supervisor is "untouched"

Pros

Vacation time, pay, hour lunch.

Cons

Have to be in "the group", or they talk about you. Also heard and confirmed that one woman went out for Open Heart Surgery, and had a rough recovery. Her supervisor NEVER EVEN called her or contacted her to see how she was, & management did nothing as well. They talk about how their employees are so valued, yet, this girl wasn't even asked how she was????? Supervisor walks around and talks with "their favorites" for hours. One supervisor was so racist, that they blamed her employees for Trump winning. Ridiculous. That same supervisor referred to white people as "your people" and even told her 1 yr old grandson when he came into the office and was shy, "I know..too many white people" That supervisor was reported couple times, and NOTHING was done. Who wants to work for a company that sweeps that stuff under the rug??

Good but could be Better

Pros

Great co-workers and team environment. decent benefits and great Paid time off. Flexible schedules.

Cons

Very little reward for dedication and loyalty to the company. Continuing education efforts are not rewarded and promotions are not based on continuing education. They often overlook good qualified internal employee promotions in exchange for hiring outside of the company. Sometimes this means hiring completely unqualified individuals. Senior management is disconnected and sometimes disillusioned from what is going on out on the floor. Unrealistic expectations of employee workload and poor compensation. Very little to no training in some departments. Employees placed in new positions and sometimes new employees are expected to "catch on" rather than have formal training.

Pros

Management is approachable and encourages development. They want you to succeed. Also, they encourage a good work life balance by understanding when things come up.

Cons

They aren’t as flexible to changes in the workplace. The dress code is still rigid and they aren’t as open to work from home as other insurers.
