Eastman Chemical has long been a Triple Bottom Line company and has a track record to show it. People, Planet and Profit -- Eastman focuses on all three with great success. I personally work in the environmental (Planet) part of the company and I am proud of our stewardship. We have a great compliance record, largely because our Management insists on doing what is right and not trying to just get by. Regarding the People component, the company's emphasis on safety and wellness is exemplary. Finally, you only have to look at our rising stock price to know that we don't have to sacrifice Profit in order to achieve success in the areas of People and Planet.

Cons

Eastman Chemical's headquarters and largest manufacturing site are located in a relatively small town in the Appalachians. As a result, our workforce is not very diverse. This hinders us in our efforts to become a more global company
