Pros

The company is in a strong growth mode and is not afraid to use the capital on hand to grow through acquisitions in addition to our organic growth. In addition, recent changes to drive a performance culture are the right ones.

Cons

As with any conservative organization, at times we can be slow to change and realize that just because we've done something for 30 years, it doesn't mean that we need to do it for the next 30 (this is slowly getting better).

Pros

Eastman has a very collaborative, team-oriented culture. I've worked at other Fortune 500 Companies, and Eastman's culture is by far the best! It's cool to look over and see the CEO having lunch beside you in the onsite cafeteria. Kingsport (home to Eastman's Headquarters) is a small town so there's little traffic and crime, but it's within a half-day drive to larger cities.

Cons

There are career development opportunies at Eatman; however, the Company has historically been slow to promote employees. Leadership is in the process of redefining the Performance Management / Career Development Process to ensure competitiveness and allow employees to take more control of their careers.

Pros

Management and company culture is very honest and ethical. There is a very strong safety culture and a true desire to reduce workplace injuries. People are cheerful and great to work with. Teamwork is encouraged.

Cons

Like most companies, the healthcare and retirement benefit packages keeps shrinking. Relentless focus on cost reduction. Flexibility in work hours depends on your specific position and manager agreement rather than a corporate policy, however most managers allow some flexing.
