Pros

*Laid-back environment *Helpful and supportive co-workers *Excellent work/life balance *Engaging work and projects *New ideas and original thinking is encouraged *Family atmosphere at work

Cons

There is very little I can say that is negative about Eastman Chemical that would not be true of other companies. The significant amount of documentation and paperwork associated with every project is my biggest complaint. This sometimes makes it difficult to get projects started and finished. However, there is never someone that stands in the way of a project because it pushes the boundaries or attempts something new as long as it does not cause unreasonable safety concerns. I had trouble getting my feet underneath me when I first started because the training program was not finished, but it has been a work in progress and is getting better.
