Pros
The culture and the people. Eastman Chemical features some of the brightest and most dedicated individuals I have ever met. The collaborative atmosphere generates high levels of productivity while fostering professional relationships, too. The people are friendly and helpful, and the life-work balance is ideal. I accepted my offer with Eastman Chemical because I knew it would be a place where I would enjoy the work and be able to develop my career at my own pace. I appreciated the high moral values embedded in the Eastman culture, and I knew I would receive challenging projects that strengthened my skills. Mostly, I wanted to work for a company where people did not have to compete against one another but could celebrate everyone's sucess.
Cons
There can be a lack of activities outside of work for young professionals. Programs and clubs are developing, but they are not all well-established. Location could be better.
