Pros

Wonderful team mates & immediate/next level management.

Cons

Old boys club at senior & c-suite levels. In human treatment of veteran team members. Discriminatory toward thoughtful, conscientious, female voices. Flog those who do not bow down to "the man." Toxic culture at c-suite level & above. Zero concern for individual team members, Top leadership only padding pockets for themselves, while under-paying & under-valuing those who keep the cogs churning for most senior men to set themselves for nauseatingly, big pay-outs. Lots of propaganda (negative connotation) from highest levels akin to brainwashing while treating wide swaths of producers poorly in every way. All as evident in annual employee satisfaction surveys.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide such detailed feedback regarding your tenure with EchoStar. It is encouraging to hear that you had a wonderful experience with your immediate teammates and direct management, as we strive to foster strong, supportive teams at every level of the organization. However, we are concerned by the specific sentiments you shared regarding the broader company culture and leadership. We take reports of discriminatory behavior and ethical concerns very seriously, as they do not align with our commitment to maintaining a professional and inclusive environment for all employees. We would value the opportunity to hear more about your experience to better understand these concerns. Please feel free to reach out to us at peopleoperations@dish.com so we can discuss this further. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Acceptable salary, most people working here are legit. Not a bad place to start off your career if you have nothing better.

Cons

Medical benefits are bottom of the barrel, 3 months unpaid leave for childbirth, and complete lack of remote flexibility. Management claims that everyone works 5 days in office, but it really depends on the team. There exists hybrid and fully remote teams, but it's all kept quiet to prevent others from knowing and asking about it.

We are always working to improve our benefits and policies to meet the diverse needs of our employees. Our company culture is built around collaboration and teamwork, which we believe is best fostered through in-person interaction, but we will be sure to share your feedback with the appropriate teams.

Pros

The people are great and there is a good work life balance.

Cons

Everything else. They hire a lot of people who are out of work so they can get good people for less than they’re worth. The benefits are an embarrassment. $5K deductible, no choices. Definitely do not come here if you want to have a child, there is no maternity (or paternity) leave. They will tell you the company is healthy and then they lay off 5-10% of the staff the following week.

Thank you for your candid review. The organization has gone through an evolution in how we operate as a business, but we appreciate your many contributions during your tenure at EchoStar. We understand your concerns regarding layoffs and communication with upper management. We wish you continued success!
