There is a real risk of working under a manager who lacks a strong understanding of the projects and provides limited support to the team. More concerning, when issues arise, responsibility can be shifted entirely onto team members. A manager can be quite successful due to strong communication with upper-level leadership, even when contributions to the business or the team are very limited. Although the company encourages employees to speak up, in practice this is often superficial. Even with facts, feedback is not genuinely heard or objectively evaluated for fairness. Employees at times feel isolated and unsupported.
