Pros

A few good planners left that actually know how to do their job... if you are lucky enough to work with one.

Cons

Stressful, overworked, underpaid, short staffed, you will do the job of the planner sometimes several planners as many have no clue on how to process things and this is enabled by management. Constant system issues. Lacking communication. Confused leadership. Management favors Planners and will do nothing about ongoing issues to correct behaviors that should never occur in the workplace. Work life balance is not a real option in this position as there is no flex schedule that other employers offer.

Pros

Helping clients solve problems and achieve their goals is the best part of the job.

Cons

The management team has weaknesses. Those in charge don't seem to know how to execute their stated initiatives. There have been countless missteps with continued promises that things will get better. Long-term staff is demoralized and those that haven't been forced out are beginning to depart voluntarily.

Pros

The staff and management with whom I worked at Edelman were generally great people. Overall they cared about delivering great customer service to each other and to external clients. The benefits were good. Management was transparent in communicating larger company changes. They have a great HR staff.

Cons

It's been a few years since I worked there but the IT department at that time was not as strong as it should have been on documenting policies and procedures. IT staff didn't leverage the knowledge of the team as much as they could have. Individuals were sometimes expected to do their own research to find solutions even when the issue had previously been resolved by others but not documented so as to save others the time required to re-research an issue that was previously resolved.
