Thank you for your positive review. The company has gone to great lengths to expand our flexible working policy and is very open to hiring the right candidate, regardless of where they're located. We expect our employees to exercise great accountability and work ethic as deadlines are presented, and commitments are made to both the business and to our clients. We hope you are happy as we've developed over the last year in this way.

A conglomerate akin to 'The Blob'

Pros

It payed the bills......just about.

Cons

Ascential consumed our company in 2018 since then; •One by one long serving, genuinely helpful and caring staff have been let go. •A huge amount of our work was outsourced to another company, which we could only assume is to save money, so their jobs now feel at risk. •Cancelled Christmas party suddenly after it was all booked and we had picked our food from the menu........ •All social events and office parties cancelled and funding reduced so as to make them impossible. •Office benefits such as a large range of free soft drinks, milkshakes, fruit juices, chilled coffees, fresh fruit, jam and Nutella for toast was slowly reduced and reduced. •Our amazing office became under constant scrutiny from Ascential personnel, who came to take pictures and measurements, and it was ultimately deemed to luxurious for us. •What luck for Ascential that a global pandemic was on the way. Forcing all staff to work from home and thus handing them the perfect excuse to kick us when we're down and not renew the lease. •Junkmail........Hundreds of emails sent to 'all staff' (over 1500 people!!) regardless of relevance. •Annual fancy awards ceremony where the company fly employees from all over the world to London for 2 days, to reward only the smallest top % of mainly sales staff. Regular hard working employees who 'only' keep the company running day to day are allowed to attend (if local, definitely not flown in) and watch but will never get the same rewards and recognition. •Micromanagement is now the norm, work that we were once trusted to do ourselves is timed, tracked and analysed. •Constantly asked to filled in wellbeing and satisfaction forms which fall on deaf ears. Must just be a box ticking requirement for the company to pretend they care. Do not let this conglomerate amass you! Of course they have the money to tempt Christ himself. But resist! Tell them to blob off!!!

Thank you for your review of Edge by Ascential. I'm sorry to hear this has been your experience and that we couldn't do more to alleviate your frustration. We have had a lot of post acquisition changes which can be challenging for those more comfortable with a start-up environment. We are, however, committed to making Edge healthy place to work for all of our employees and believe reshaping the culture is incredibly important. We've made great strides in realigning our leadership team over the last 6 months and heightening our communication around the product road map and strategic vision. We pride ourselves in having an open door policy and take feedback seriously. We will continue to release employee and client pulse surveys to ensure we're moving the needle and providing an enterprise solution for all those connected to Edge by Ascential.
