Best reason is salary and steady work. Overtime comes and goes but pay is good. Health benefits are also good.

Cons

Downsides are no advancement unless you're part of the "buddy system/promote family and friends", vacation submitted a month in advance, no sick or personal days off,

ECO is a good company to start from someone who has little or no experience to getting a 1600 Master or Engineer's License.

Cons

Not much support for upper level licenses. There is no incentive program. Benefits are lacking for those that live outside of Louisiana.
