Pros

Excellent Training Program Unlimited Income Earning Potential Licensing/Continuing Education Paid For Profit Sharing Plan Home Office Support No Onsite Boss

Cons

Not a Lot of Field Support High/Inequitable Sales Goals Worked a Lot of Nights/Weekends(Especially If You Inherit Little Assets) High Family Insurance Premiums and Deductible Lot of Out-Of-Pocket Expenses(If You Want To Stay In Business) Behind On Online Advertising Prospecting Isn't Working Like It Might Have Used To They Tell You They Supplement Your Income Until You Build Your Business- truth is, you need to be exceeding expectations to get the milestone bonuses(and if you have high sales goals, you're going to work your butt off to meet that) People Are Adverse To Investing Right Now-Lot Of Rejection It's ALL About The Numbers

Pros

Great management style. Enjoyed the people I worked with. The base pay and commission is fantastic.

Cons

No training platform. You are thrown to the wolves on the first day and need to learn the job as soon as possible. Everybody is overworked and the hours are crazy.

Pros

Small offices give you a great opportunity to build relationships with the clients and your co-worker. The back office support is exceptional and the technology makes your job painless. There is bound to be an office in your town or neighborhood and if there is not they want you to start your own.

Cons

This job is100% reliant on your co-worker. The FA's rely so heavily on the administrators that they are lost without them and the administrators rely so heavily on the FA for income, reviews, and communication that the relationship can be the best ever or the worst you will ever encounter. You have plenty of tools and back office help to be successful but if this relationship doesn't work you will be miserable with nobody else in the office to play peacemaker.
