Pros

Great study program - very comprehensive study for passing the Series 7 and 66 and you get paid while studying. Good organization overall and well respected in the industry. Treat clients well and have a high customer satisfaction as a result.

Cons

Working from home doesn't work! As a new FA, you can feel very LONELY working from your home, not only because nobody is around you but being new to the industry and getting rejected time and again over and over without having the camaraderie of peers and management to support you directly and without having a base of clients can get old very fast and having a list of "hotlines" for each subject is not a good definition of support. Most new FAs at Edward Jones have no industry experience and yet are thrown out to the sharks to "figure it out on their own". Not my way of feeling confident about a new job.

Pros

Excellent training for someone new to the industry or to sales in general. If you follow their recipe you will not fail.

Cons

Very difficult, nearly impossible to start from scratch. If you follow their recipe you will not fail, but that doesn't necessarily equal success either.

Pros

Great training program. They provide you with all the essential materials to pass the 7 and 66 exams. Nothing to worry about regarding those if you study enough.

Cons

Poor benefits package. Have to work long hours first few years and basically have to door knock until you find someone to trust you with their money. If you can't find them, your fired.
