      Pros

      The Culture. Sure the comp is industry leading, the tools are fabulous, and the partnership structure is very rare in our industry, BUT the culture of the firm and the people is the best part of the firm. After 17 years with the firm, I wouldn't work anywhere else.

      I didn't start earlier in my career.

      Pros

      Very strong compensation model. Ability to affect change instead of reacting to what others have decided. Good work life balance. Get your own office and your own assistant. Very few places will do that. Given partnership for doing a good job that you can bring into retirement. Get to take your family on two trips a year with 30 to 40 choices per time for doing a good job with your clients. Not a top 1 percent perk wither around 60% of the advisor earn these trips. Get a good salary to start so you can do what is right for the client and stay in the business. Work your own hours. Have a great start up model that if you follow will keep you in the business unlike many other " just call your family and friends" models. Training and investment into me and my staff by the firm. In short it has changed my life and brought to me and my family a life I would never have had before. All while 100% doing what is right for the client first.

      Cons

      I don't really have a lot of cons. There is the same office drama like any of the other places. They are conservative and that sometimes is hard for people to accept but its for the clients behalf. So its usually pretty reasonable.
