Pros

You run your own office with no one to answer to. The training you receive prepares you very well to be a financial advisor

Cons

Working alone, always must be self motivated. Door Knocking gets very frustrating. Platform lacks many advisory options. Transaction based model

Pros

unlimited pay. be your own boss.

Cons

Door- knocking. I didn't think this would be a big deal. But knocking in the winter, when your fingers are too cold to write information. Constant looks of disgust as you walk thru a neighborhood. It is disheartening to see how many people will actually hate you because you knock on peoples doors. People avoid you like the plague. Not easy to deal with.

Pros

independence ability to grow as an individual make your own schedule

Cons

very high failure rate for people who start from scratch limited benfits straight commissions very unfair how offices are given out, it just the luck of the draw, if your given a bad location your still held to the same standards as the person who got a great office with lots of assets
