Pros

Decent product with potential, given the Hybrid (cloud and on-prem) differentiator story that helps sets it apart from the competition.

Cons

Micromanagement and lack of trust permeates down across the various teams. Upper management seemed to promote a culture of pitting individuals and teams against each other and having them prove their worth on an almost daily basis! There is no job stability and the invisible threat of being suddenly let go looms high over many roles. Sales and Marketing teams have unusually high turn-over and churn with people leaving within a year or less.

Pros

If you work out of Corporate in Mountain View you get access to free lunch. There are good people under the leadership that are doing most of the work and getting little credit.

Cons

The turnover is so high you will not be able to get any traction with team to advance the business. Unreasonable expectations from a productivity standpoint. Company has not developed products that are supposed to differentiate them from large competitors. Leadership comes and goes so fast, customers do not get a good feeling about the company.

Pros

Egnyte has a remarkable product. Besides the product the rest is history.

Cons

Egnyte used to have some of the best leaders in the industry. The type of leaders that held their account manages to a high standard but always supported them. Never during that time did I question my worth as a seller. But During the 2021/2022 overhaul new executives out of the new office in Utah pushed out the good Spokane CDM leaders for ones who have NEVER led before (their Ego would tell you they have) or for new leaders out of Utah that still have no idea what the Egnyte product can do. HR and Leadership allow intense relationships of leader to subordinates. They know about these relationships and want to ask current employees but we will not say anything as there is ZERO confidentiality at this company. Leadership knows it’s wrong but yet won’t do anything about it. To make matters worse leadership demands we come to the office 3 days a week in an office environment that is beyond uncomfortable to watch these relationships causing frequent tension, problems and uncomfortably. If you are looking for a career where they say “your cost of living increase” is an annual bonus increase then this is the place for you!
