Pros
Been here for close to 4 years and have seen all kind of growing pains and changes in various departments including people being let go, new people getting hired, people getting promoted etc. The company culture is the most amazing where it’s totally merit based with least amount of corporate hierarchy. Therefore, some people hired from big public companies like vmware, cisco have a hard time here. The openness that the CEO shows (I can walk into his office anytime if the door is open), our all-hand meetings where I get to see financial statements that most other companies would hide, and transparency on how the company is doing and the competitive landscape – is so refreshing.
This is one company where despite having several hundred people, there is not much room to hide (I would not say that for our marketing though).
Cons
It will be nice to have more public acknowledgment of the high achievers without the fear of alienating the rest. Also, I wish our marketing team was more nimble and not so hide bound as it seems to come from the top.
