      Great Product, Shaky Direction, and Retention of Sub-Par Personnel

      Pros

      Egnyte has a great product that definitely stands head and shoulders when it comes to their competitors. The Support Team is outstanding, The Marketing Team works hard and the Engineering Team is high-quality. The SMB Sales Team grinds and keeps the lights on for the company.

      Cons

      The management team tries to force-feed the product to the "Enterprise" Space and the Enterprise Sales Teams cannot execute (but, are retained....). The leadership team is big on retaining personnel because their select people are likeable vs. actually doing a good job. Training is non-existent and while there are a few stand-outs when it comes to the company, there are also pockets of people that coast through their workdays. But it's ok, because they are having fun and laugh at the management team's jokes.

      Pros

      I absolutely love this job. I mean It's still a job but my team is an actual team, my boss is a leader and not a manager. I feel supported as an individual. Everyone here is a family shooting towards a common goal, success. If you have a problem it is addressed quickly.

      Cons

      There is a lot of negatives about this company on Glassdoor. Check the date before you believe it, they will admit to their faults and can tell you exactly what they've done to fix it. We are a growing startup and we have definitely had a bad hire or two, but they always end up being asked to leave.

      Pros

      If you work out of Corporate in Mountain View you get access to free lunch. There are good people under the leadership that are doing most of the work and getting little credit.

      Cons

      The turnover is so high you will not be able to get any traction with team to advance the business. Unreasonable expectations from a productivity standpoint. Company has not developed products that are supposed to differentiate them from large competitors. Leadership comes and goes so fast, customers do not get a good feeling about the company.
