Pros
Egnyte is a great stepping stone in ones career path early on. Egnyte provides an atmosphere that resilient and humble individuals can find and thrive in success. Egnyte has become a place for fresh-out-of-college groups, if you have recently graduated and enjoy fraternizing and the "good-boy" culture similar to modern greek life - Egnyte is the place for you. If you are a more seasoned, autonomous, confident and process oriented individual, I would caution you to reflect on your values and continue to read the reviews that have been provided on this platform. The original executive team, some of which is still around, are talented and tenacious individuals. Unfortunately, during a regime overhaul in 2021 - much of the tenacity and culture of hard work has been misconstrued and savaged in comparison to the successful, always improving model of dedication to ones work that was prominent before hand. While quite inappropriate, the comments on this platform regarding religious control and abduction of the company's value and culture are not far off. One other validity to point out is the lack of true equality and respect for females in the workplace. As a woman, you will be pushed harder, treated lesser, doubted and demeaned no matter how great you are. As a woman, record breaking numbers and impressively delivered actions do not trump the desired disillusion. There are a number of impressive and dedicated members past and current on the Egnyte team. Join this group to make ground for yourself. Join this group to prove naysayers wrong. But do not join this group with rose-colored glasses nor happy ears.
Cons
Personally, I was a member of the Spokane, Washington office. The vast amount of my concerns and ultimate propellent for departure is directly related to the Spokane office. The leadership is immature and grossly fraternized. There are a number of leaders carrying on inappropriate relationships with subordinates from direct teams. Not to mention one of the leaders of the CDM team having a rather dramatic and intense relationship with one of the CDM subordinates causing frequent tension, problems and uncomfortably. The leader of the Spokane office is not ready to lead a group of individuals in the capacity in which he currently is. Top performers and dedicated Egnyter's are leaving at record speed - and it's most specifically felt and experienced in the Spokane office. The culture in which the Spokane office claims to subscribe to is vastly different than the reality of the atmosphere. Makes one wonder if this office is planned to be around next fiscal year...
