      Great product, but the sales team has become a joke.

      Pros

      The product is great and continues to get better. The supporting SE team is top tier.

      Cons

      A whole lot of favoritism going on both in new hires and promotions. Leadership is clueless to the realities of sellers on the front line. I’m not sure what “culture” people keep referencing to on other posts because there is none, just a lot of people doing CYA work. A lot of managers are completely incompetent and have no clue how to coach or actually support you as a rep, just deal micro management. Leadership twists and turns the meaning of the company ROE to whatever is favorable to them. An all around toxic work environment lead by untrustworthy people. They ran pluralsight into the ground and are now in the process of doing the same thing at Egnyte.

      Pros

      With 3+ years at Egnyte, I've never felt so confident and eager for the future of the company. Changes in senior leadership in the past year have reignited the flame I had when I first joined. I can easily say the current A&F leaders and cross-functional business partners have been some of the best I've ever worked for. If you're a high performer who values work/life balance and hope to learn from some of the most experienced in Silicon Valley, this is the place for you.

      Cons

      As with any rapidly growing company there can be growing pains. With the strong senior leadership we have now in place, process improvements are being implemented for scale and efficiency.

      Pros

      Egnyte offers solid product features with strong emphasis on data government and security. Across the organization, every team holds a strong customer-centric mindset and goes out of their way to engage with the customers and listen to their feedback. Egnyte's customers are really lucky to have a service provider who really cares about the customer experience and partnership. Besides continue driving sales and profitability, the Company has been making a lot of investment into the quality of management, operational effectiveness, and corporate governance. These are the critical steps towards the direction of IPO readiness which is inspiring to see. The Company promotes diversity - and it's not just race and gender, but also diversity of perspectives and ideas. Everyone is strongly encouraged to speak up, contribute and share their perspectives, even when they disagree with each other. The Finance team is staffed with some of the brightest and kindest individuals you would ever get to work with. Everyone is super supportive of each other and the Company's growth. Truly proud of being a part of such an amazing family.

      Cons

      Just like any other fast growing company, there are a lot of growing pains and changes that both the management and teams are navigating through. Because of the fast pace and changes, some processes are not fully thought through or quickly become outdated which can be confusing. On the other side of the coin, these are the situations where individuals with entrepreneurial mindset would really enjoy as they see opportunities of bringing value to the table. People who enjoy challenges and not afraid of navigating through uncertainties tend to really enjoy working at Egnyte.
