Pros
Flexible PTO policy, but only if your manager is understanding
Cons
Rampant office politics create a hostile work environment in which creativity is stifled and colleagues regularly throw one another under the bus. Turnover is extremely high and while Egnyte recruits some talented people, the company does virtually nothing to keep them. Most new hires leave within a year or two. Executive management is cheap and has almost no desire to invest in employees, which is one reason office culture is nonexistent. (No 401K matching, low-budget, poorly-planned company events, overall penny-pinching even after raising $75M in Series E funding etc...) Vineet and his founding team are set in their ways, unwilling to question their antiquated assumptions about business operations, leadership and marketing strategy. Egnyte has the potential to be great, but until these dinosaurs pass the torch, little is likely to change.
