Pros

great people, great environment, decent pay. I worked at the EALA campus, we had an on site cafeteria, gym, lake, basketball court, etc..

Cons

EA fired half of my division and outsourced the work to india. Originally i worked for a smaller studio that was a acquired by EA, that when things went downhill.

Pros

Games. Even though, you are the managements mercy, there are so many ways to keep you interested as there are so many interesting things to do. If you make it first couple of years/projects you will have time of your life compared to IT industry. Technology sharing between products is really awesome, people love sharing their stuff.

Cons

Hard long work hours during tail end of cycle(6-8 months) and sometimes require sacrificing personal time to get the game out of the door.
