Worked at Element Materials Technology and also when it was Stork

Pros

Growing company. Good financial results. Company was sold to 3i, a Private Equity company out of the UK.

Cons

It was a good company under Stork. Now under 3i the focus is to maximize EBITDA at whatever cost. People are not first but financial results are. Company is now being dressed up to prepare for a sale to another investor. Company focus is 1 year and not long term.

Pros

People are nice to work with and care about doing there jobs well.

Cons

High turnover, low pay, disappointing benefits. Not well organized. Difficult procedures based on outdated technology and knowledge. Performance evaluations are out dated. Employees are asked to do more work when people leave without more pay. Hiring freezes even when short staffed.

The severance package was decent.

Cons

You can be let go just because they have a bad quarter. They have had mass layoffs in Columbia Md at least twice. It is a sinking ship.
